Here is what was said about the DLC:

“It’s a whole new level of difficulty unto itself. The thing about these tracks is if you’re a Hendrix fan you know that really what powered that vibe is that he kind of just closed his eyes and flowed from his fingers, and we really tried very hard, especially on the expert level, to recreate that effect… So while it’s difficult to play we hear from Rock Band players and once they practice a little bit and get into the groove, they can kind of just let it flow, so we’re hoping they get the same effect. But it won’t be easy very often from the get-go.”

In this next week, there are going to be four new tracks coming from the popular artist whom everybody loves, Lady Gaga. These four new tracks are going to be available for either Rock Band or Rock Band 2. The four tracks include Bad Romance, Just Dance, Poker Face and Monster. If you want to purchase all four of these songs together then you can get it as a track pack for $6.99. To individually purchase the songs, it will cost $1.99 per song. These songs will be on sale starting next Tuesday for the Xbox 360 and next Thursday for the PlayStation 3.

With hardly any other details, all that is known about Rock Band 3 is that it will be released some time by the holiday season of this year.

“Viacom CEO and president Philippe Dauman has confirmed that Harmonix is working on Rock Band 3, for release holiday 2010!” said John Drake, the communications manager at Harmonix.

Here are the nine new songs that will be available for download on the PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii:

Coming out on Tuesday, January 5th, these new songs will be available for the Wii and the Xbox 360. Then, on Thursday, January 7th, you will be able to purchase them for the PlayStation 3. The songs are going to be priced at the usual $1.99 for each of the individual songs. If you would like to buy one of the entire Paul McCartney or Blink 182 packs, you will save you some money by only having to pay $5.49 for the pack.

All of these three songs will be combined together in a song pack that will is named the “New York City Pack 01.” These songs were all recorded at the christening of New York’s Citi Field during the memorable three night musical that was held by the Beatles. These three songs are going to be Paul McCartney’s first solo songs to become available for Rock Band.

The tracks that will be available, all of which were recorded live, are the following:

All of these tracks will be available on Jan. 5 for the Xbox 360 and the Wii only and then on Jan. 7 for the PlayStation 3. The usual cost will be used which means that each song will cost $1.99 by itself. However, for the whole track pack which includes all three songs, the price will be $3,99.

However, you do not have to buy all ten songs together in a track pack. You can also purchase these songs individually, but why would you not want all of these songs instead. With the highly-anticipated debut of this band, Rock Band is definitely going to see a big improvement in song sales.

Pearl Jam is a very good alternative rock band that joined together in Seattle in the year of 1990. This band consists of members Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Matt Cameron. All together, the band has sold many more than 60 million records around the entire globe.

Not only are they releasing this album, “Backspacer”, to Rock Band, Pearl Jam will offer a special edition CD that will be available at Target stores nationwide which will include the Backspaceralbum disc and also a special code enabling owners of the special edition CD to download the entire album for Rock Band or Rock Band 2 gameplay. One great thing is that the songs will be imported into the Rock Band player’s library. This is going to make these songs available in each of the game modes including solo, band play, online multiplayer and instrument vs. instrument.

“I think they’re missing the point. I think that they don’t understand why it’s a phenomenon. From my perspective, anything that gets kids interested in music and gets kids playing music in their house that isn’t an MP3 they stole off the internet, is a good thing. Anything that’s making money for music and making music relevant to kids again is a good thing. I think they think that we prefer people playing plastic guitars over real guitars, and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. We would love nothing more than for every kid that buys Beatles: Rock Band in September to immediately ask for a real guitar for Christmas because they’re inspired.”

In my opinion, I believe that these types of games are a  good experience for younger kids who are thinking about maybe playing an instrument later on in their life. These games also provide a interesting and unique way of playing an instrument for kids.
