Star Wars: The Old Republic

The game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, is a game that is not set to release until some time later off in 2011. However, a few people have gotten a chance to give this game a try. This game, which was developed by BioWare Austin and co-developed by Lucas Arts, is going to be available only for the PC, but this may change later on. The following is a preview that was given for the game:

“Treads on ground more morally ambiguous than say, the Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior, with many opportunities to assist or forsake separatists and other factions in opposition with the Empire. As the game progresses, the Trooper rises higher and higher in the ranks of the military, but our demo was set at level 6, which is probably somewhere around the rank of Imperial peon given the speculated 50 level cap. I was told that the further you progress in the Trooper’s story, the more pivotal your position in the Republic military is and you’ll be quite concerned with how you’re viewed in the galaxy.”

Amazon to Sell Game Downloads

Amazons newest income stream will be coming from downloaded video game sales. They are selling downloads to hundreds of popular internet games. They have over 600 games for you to choose from and they will cost $9.99 or less! While browsing the games, I didn’t really notice anything that strikes my interests simply because it’s not my genre. It seemed like a lot of younger child type games. Not like childish but like “E” rated. They haven’t said too much about the future of this and what it can become. Hopefully they will expand it into something like Steam with some more adult games and continue with cheap downloads.

They are offering some sample games too! You can get free downloads of Jewel Quest II, Build a Lot, and The Scruffs. Be sure to check out some of these games, and possibly even consider purchasing another game in their list. I’ll check them out and let you know what I download.

Use PSP As Second PC Window

How great of a hack is this? They have created some hacks to allow your psp to be used as a second screen. Personally, I think this will be pretty sick. Not only can it show your internet, but it can use your computers screen to play your games on. You can now play those PSP games on a larger screen.

That’s what I like about the PSP. All the hacks and mods done to it give it so much more than the Nintendo DS will ever have. They allow us to do so many extra things than the system was actually made for. So long as you don’t mod them incorrectly and somehow ruin the PSP.
