In the month of June this past summer, it was said that Green Day was going to be coming out with their very own version of Rock Band. Now, it has recently been confirmed that some time next year Green Day and Harmonix will be releasing Green Day: Rock Band.
“We are thrilled to work with Green Day to revisit key moments from their career, including their likenesses, content and imagery, through our innovative form of musical interaction,” said Harmonix CEO and co-founder Alex Rigopulos.
If you own an Xbox 360 or a PlayStation 3 then you are going to be able to export the whole entire track list of songs off of the game and be able to to play them on both Rock Band and Rock Band 2 as well.
If you are looking forward to this game and being able to rock out to some Green Day, you can jam early with a track pack of Green Day songs that just came out yesterday. Releasing off of their acclaimed album, 21st Century Breakdown, the three songs included on this track pack are ”Christian’s Inferno,” “Last of the American Girls,” and “¡Viva La Gloria!”
I know Green Day has a lot of fans who are quite excited for this game to come out next year. Make sure to keep a look out for the release date next year so that you can pick up a copy for yourself.
