PlayStation Network does not usually have demos for their downloadable games like Xbox Live Arcade always does. A lot of PlayStation games do have demos though, even if the game is coming out two or three weeks later. WiiWare is always a complete gamble on whether or not there are demos. There is more often then not no demo for a WiiWare games which makes is hard to find out if you like the game. This could keeps some WiiWare games from being bought as people do not anything about the game. However, this may no longer be an issue. Nintendo started releasing WiiWare demos today.
As of right now, there are only five WiiWare demos out for games that have already been released. These five games are Bit.Trip Beat, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A Dark Lord, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, World of Goo and Pokemon Rumble. All of these are good decisions for demos by Nintendo because all five of these titles are good, quality games that have been ignored to this point. At the time, it has not been made clear if having demos is going to become a part of Nintendo’s policy. I am sure that if these demos receive a lot of attention,then Nintendo will continue to come out with more and more WiiWare demos.
