Beat it! is a game that will soon be coming out for the iPhone and iPod touch. Like many people may think, it is not a rhythm game. It is actually a music game. You do not just need to hit the notes along with the beat in this game, you must deconstruct a music clip and then do your best to recreate it. According to reviews, this game is probably going to do very well.
This is what you will do in the game: First, there is a short clip played which you can listen to a couple times in order to get the notes down. After that, you tap squares on a grid in order to create a line of music which sounds like the clip you just heard. You can turn squares on or off by just tapping them. As you create the clip, a line will move over the grid and play your current selection. If you have placed a note in the right place of a measure then the square will sparkle to notify you it is correct. There are five different worlds that you must beat and each world gets harder and harder as you go. New instruments will get added represented by a new line added onto the grid.
Starting at the price of $2.99, this game will be released at the end of October.
