A huge announcement was recently made by NPD, Nintendo’s collection of nine motion controlled mini games, Wii Play is, throughout all of North America, the number one best selling game of the decade. All together there have been 11.1 million copies of this game sold since it was released just two years ago in the year of 2007. Wii Play has out sold other many other big titles including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Wii Fit, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Mario Kart Wii, in that order.
Also a shocking fact was made saying that Wii Fit, another game, made by Nintendo, is creeping up on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreasfor the second highest selling game of this decade. At the present time, Wii Fit is only 350,000 units behind Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. However, a negative problem arises with the upcoming game Wii Fit Plus which is most likely going to cause Wii Fit sales to suffer which would keep the game stuck in third place. However, since Wii Fit is ten dollars cheaper than the upcoming Wii Fit Plus, maybe this will sway gamers to realize that they might as well go ahead and buy the cheaper game out of the two because both of them will do basically the same thing.
