Activision is coming out with DJ Hero which is going to have its own unique controller. This music game is coming out for the Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This unique music game’s controller is going be able to mimic the same experience of a real DJ. You must master the dual turntables and the fader of the disc jockey. However, this one of a kind controller will not work for any other game which makes people hesitant about buying such an expensive item.
Jamie Jackson, the creative director of DJ Hero, was asked by the website “Destructoid” whether or not the DJ Hero controller would work with any other game. Jamie Jackson responded with a quite obvious answer by saying, “DJ Hero is DJ Hero. If someone needed to use our controller, then they would basically have to rip our game off.”
After all, the only other DJ game that I can think of is Scratch: The Ultimate DJ. Both the controller and the gameplay are completely different from each other so it makes sense that as of right now, it looks like the DJ Hero controller will not be used for any other games.
