In case you haven’t noticed, this weekend we are receiving double experience for everything we do in Call of Duty 5, with the exception of the match bonus. Why they are giving us a weekend of double experience I’m not sure, but it looks like they want to keep us interested in Call of Duty 5. This is the 2nd such event in Call of Duty 5 in the last 3 or 4 weeks, but it works like a charm. It keeps me gaming all weekend long.
Double experience is your chance to quickly move through the levels of your current prestige and go on to the next one. You can take full advantage of the weekend by playing either headquarters or search and destroy because of the large amounts of experience gained with minimal effort in these two gametypes. In headquarters you’ll get 500 for winning, 40 for capturing or destorying the headquarter, and 10 per kill. In search and destroy you will get 100 per kill, 50 per assist, and 200 for arming or disarming the bomb. When you add in the match bonus you will be getting close to 1,000 experience points per game (or more!).
If you want to quickly go through your current prestige or just increase your place in the all time leaderboards, this weekend will help you accomplish that. Take advantage of this weekend, we probably won’t be seeing another for several weeks.
