Apparently, there are still warranties that are valid for the original Xbox system. With the Xbox 360 nearing an upgrade announcement it was strange to hear that there were still valid Xbox warranties. There are apparently seven valid warranties in Japan. Microsoft Japan is discontinuing service to these Xbox’s.
After March 3rd, 2009 they will no longer provide service to these Xbox’s. If your Xbox breaks before then they are just going to give you a new Xbox 360. I guess I didn’t know the original Xbox was even played anymore, but if you have one under warrenty in Japan, now is the time to cash in.
